Houston Flooding

Footsteps Mother’s Day Out:

Our Footsteps Mother’s Day Out program is offering free enrollment for two days a week for up to two months for families affected by Hurricane Harvey. You may email the church office for more information.

West U. Church of Christ will be walking alongside our neighbors in Houston as the city recovers and rebuilds after Hurricane Harvey. We ask all WUCC members to fill out a volunteer registration form to let us know how people are able to serve. Currently, volunteers are mucking and demoing homes, serving at relief centers, helping people file claims and work through FEMA registration, babysitting, and serving in countless other ways.

We are grateful and humbled by the response from people all around the country, asking how they can be helpful during and after Hurricane Harvey and the ensuing flooding. You can give tax-deductible donations by clicking here, and choosing “Harvey Relief Fund.”  Donated funds will go directly to providing material help to people affected by the flood.

GOODS DONATIONS: West U. encourages everyone to donate what they can to serve the people of Houston. We are partnering with Impact Church of Christ, whose distribution center serves low-income neighborhoods in Houston and the surrounding area. Here is an Amazon wishlist of things they need in the distribution center. You are welcome to bring these items by West U. Church of Christ, Monday-Thursday, 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM, if that is more convenient for you.

If you need help with any of the services offered above, please contact Roy Rhodes at 713-666-3535, or email him at roy.rhodes@gmail.com.
