Due to some complications with our prior format, we have adjusted the way we share our audio archives.  If you will go to our "Archives" tab at the top of the page, you will be taken to our page that hosts our Sermon Audio and our Bulletins.

The audio is now delivered to you via a sermon player.  You have several options.

1.  You can listen to any sermon straight from your computer.
2.  After you hit play on each sermon, you will have the opportunity to download the mp3. 
3.  If you download the mp3, you can put it on your Ipod, your favorite mp3 player, or burn it to a disc.

2010 US CENSUS

THE 2010 CENSUS IS IMPORTANT

It determines the distribution of more than $300 billion annually of government funding for critical community services. It generates thousands of jobs across the country. And it impacts your voice in Congress.

YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE

As members of influential community organizations and businesses you can help raise awareness and encourage participation in the 2010 Census. With your help the Census Bureau will continue to produce accurate data which will directly affect the quality of life in both yours and the Cathedrals community.

YOU CAN HELP

The Census Bureau launched a critical national effort for every person in the nation to “Be Counted” in the 2010 Census. Operations have already begun and the Census Bureau needs to recruit hundreds of workers in the area to ensure a complete and accurate count in 2010. People can call the Census job line (866) 861-2010 to find out more and to schedule a basic employment test.

Last year, the giving members of our Life Groups and congregations sponsored 23 children at Christmas time with love, prayers, and gifts.  It is that time of year again and we want to do better and give more than even that great accomplishment!  We have committed to providing holiday cheer to families (mothers and their children) up to 25 people.  I have faith that the Life Groups and individual members will provide everything we need to make it another successful year!  The gifts are due at the Childrens' Home on December 10th so time is short.  Monetary gifts are more than welcome, as are actual gifts.  In addition, last year, the Birds had the unique opportunity to deliver the gifts in person to the Childrens' Home - that same opportunity will be available for those interested this year as well!  Please contact the office for more information.

Next Sunday, our regular Life Groups will meet again, up through November 1.  That night, we will do our Family Devotional Night again.

Starting on Monday night, January 16, the West University Church of Christ will be offering a class entitled "The Truth Project".  The class will be from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm, and workbooks will be available through the class.  To register for the class, go to http://shbi.org/ and click on register.  Watch the trailer video below for what the class is about and what you will learn:

WEST UNIVERSITY AREA LIFE GROUP:  One of our Life Groups meets at our building at 3407 Bissonnet.  It meets at 5:30 in the fellowship hall.  Please park in the back of the building.

SUGAR LAND/PEARLAND AREA LIFE GROUP:  One of our Life Groups will either meet in Sugar Land or Pearland each Sunday night.  This group will rotate around.  Please contact the office or email our Associate Minister to learn where this group will meet.

NORTH HOUSTON AREA LIFE GROUP:  Leaders will be Jim Taylor and Brad Hinrichs

 There were well over 300 people enjoying fellowship with each other and with God.  We hope that there are many more occassions where the Hispanic members can get together here.
